What to provide
Identify the page, disputed statement, proposed correction, authoritative source, effective date, and a contact who can answer verification questions.
Review process
The Research Desk compares submitted evidence with the existing record, determines whether the issue is factual or interpretive, and updates affected reporting, dossiers, comparisons, and datasets when supported.
Correction record
Minor copy edits may be made silently. Material factual changes retain the prior value, correction date, evidence, and affected conclusion. Disputed evidence remains unresolved rather than being overwritten.
Editorial disagreement
An organization may disagree with a fair interpretation without establishing a factual error. The publication can add relevant evidence or a response while retaining its independent conclusion.
Persistent standard
This policy applies to reporting, organization records, comparisons, research, sponsored programs, corrections, and any future commonly owned products.
